Koch companies are seeking innovative and motivated Business Systems Analyst Interns to join our teams. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside business and technology professionals to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and help deliver technology-enabled solutions that create value.

As a Business Systems Analyst Intern, you will assist with analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, supporting technology initiatives, and helping translate business objectives into effective solutions. You'll gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams while developing technical, analytical, and professional skills in a dynamic business environment.

This internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to early August 2027.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, and opportunities
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and system requirements
  • Support technology projects from discovery through implementation
  • Create process maps, user stories, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Collaborate with software developers, project teams, and business users to support solution delivery
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development using business intelligence tools.
  • Participate in testing activities, issue identification, and solution validation
  • Help evaluate new tools, technologies, and process improvements
  • Develop insights and recommendations that help create value for customers and the business
  • Work closely with software developers, project managers, and quality assurance teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Present findings and project results to stakeholders and leadership teams

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in a degree in: Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related technical field with at least one semester or term remaining after the internship
  • Eligible for full-time work by August 2028
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and the ability to leverage AI responsibly to support research, analysis, problem-solving and productivity
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Previous internship, project, or leadership experience demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity or experience with SQL, Python, databases, or reporting tools
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Experience working on technology, consulting, analytics, or process improvement projects
