Fortis Healthcare/Prime Time Healthcare is seeking an experienced and highly adaptable Credentialing Specialist (Floater)to support the credentialing and compliance needs of three staffing brands: AB Staffing Solutions, Prime Time Healthcare, and Club Xcite.

Each brand serves different healthcare and educational staffing markets and follows its own credentialing processes, client requirements, systems, and compliance standards. This position will move between teams based on business needs, coverage gaps, workload demands, and special projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing the full-cycle credentialing process within healthcare staffing and can quickly adjust between different workflows without sacrificing accuracy, communication, or candidate experience. This is not an entry-level credentialing position. The successful candidate must be comfortable stepping into established processes, learning brand-specific requirements, and independently managing a credentialing workload from initial onboarding through final clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide credentialing and compliance support across AB Staffing Solutions, Prime Time Healthcare, and Club Xcite
  • Learn, follow, and transition between three distinct brand-specific credentialing processes
  • Manage the full credentialing and onboarding lifecycle for healthcare professionals and other assigned staff
  • Guide candidates through all pre-employment, credentialing, compliance, and onboarding requirements
  • Review candidate files to identify missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or expiring documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and candidate records
  • Order and track drug screens, background checks, immunizations, physicals, fingerprinting, and other required screenings
  • Verify professional licenses, certifications, education, employment history, references, and other required credentials
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and communicate missing or expiring requirements to candidates and internal teams
  • Ensure candidates meet company, client, state, federal, and regulatory requirements before beginning an assignment
  • Process new assignments, extensions, reassignments, renewals, and ongoing compliance requirements
  • Conduct pre-clearance calls and maintain consistent follow-up until candidates are fully cleared for work
  • Communicate professionally with candidates, recruiters, sales teams, clinical teams, clients, vendors, and internal departments
  • Maintain daily visibility into credentialing progress, outstanding requirements, and potential start-date risks
  • Escalate compliance concerns, delays, or exceptions to the appropriate leadership team
  • Follow Joint Commission standards and other applicable healthcare staffing regulations
  • Support brand-specific clinical, educational, school-based, and state compliance requirements
  • Assist with high-volume periods, employee absences, new client implementations, audits, and special projects
  • Protect confidential candidate, employee, medical, and compliance information
  • Complete other credentialing and compliance duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous full-cycle credentialing experience within healthcare staffing required
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing candidates from initial onboarding through final clearance
  • Experience supporting multiple specialties, divisions, clients, or staffing programs strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of healthcare credentialing, onboarding, and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and healthcare staffing regulations
  • Experience with professional license and certification verification
  • Experience ordering and tracking drug screens, background checks, immunizations, fingerprinting, and other compliance requirements
  • Ability to quickly learn and follow multiple processes, systems, policies, and approval structures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and quickly shift between brands and assignments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong follow-up skills and comfort holding candidates accountable to credentialing deadlines
  • Professional and service-focused approach when working with candidates and internal partners
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to multiple teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify compliance risks before they impact a start date
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills; ability to type 40-50 words per minute
  • Positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
