Automotive Mechanic Technician I (Union) Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies. Perform some more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and some fabrication.upfit Based upon certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, etc. May maintain/repair equipment. (cable trailers, laptop docking stations, etc.) Keep shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance to safety standards. Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations. Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records. May upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment. Assures availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators and electrical systems, hybrids, and on-board computer systems. Go above and beyond when we look at a vehicle so the work is done at the, higher standard. Take action on work without being asked by one's supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Who You Are You're a quick learner - especially when it comes to cars and how they work. You're a team player who always arrives at the shop ready to provide excellent work. You also have the following qualifications: Required: 1 or more years of related work experience. The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
