Job Summary Dental AssistantsNEW Health 332 Hanover St. Boston, MA 02113 15 Tufts St, Boston, MA 02129 Job Description: Work under the direct supervision of a dentist. Perform patient care tasks including four-handed dentistry, taking x-rays, patient education, taking impressions, removing temporary cement from crowns, and re-cementing crowns, applying fluoride varnish, placing and removing dental dams, and delivering bleaching kits. Perform laboratory functions, including fabrication of bleaching trays and dental models, and instrument sterilization. Place orders for dental supplies. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation in a recognized dental office, or the successful completion of a training program for dental assistants at a recognized dental school. Dental Assistant license required. Radiology certification for dental auxiliaries is required.
