Work Schedule:
90% FTE, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. No weekends. No holidays. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

As a Registered Nurse on our transplant team, you'll care for patients with complex medical needs while collaborating with nationally recognized physicians and multidisciplinary experts dedicated to advancing transplant care.

We are seeking a Procedure Transplant Clinic RN to:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients before and after organ transplantation in an ambulatory clinic setting.
  • Educate patients and families on transplant care, medications, recovery, and long-term health management.
  • Assess patient needs, coordinate care, and manage complex clinical concerns
  • Administer infusion therapies and provide nursing care for patients undergoing transplant biopsies and other specialized procedures.
  • Collaborate with transplant physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless, high-quality care.
  • Advocate for patients and families while fostering a compassionate, patient- and family-centered care experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
  • Specific to EP Lab- Previous moderate sedation experience Required
  • Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
  • Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred
  • Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
  • Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
  • Certification in area of specialty Preferred
