KCUR is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual contributor for the role of Finance and Budget Consultant. This position is a crucial member of our team, responsible for the full array of accounting, financial and budgeting activities to support the University (UMKC) owned radio station, KCUR. This position will plan and implement direction, strategies, and processes to ensure appropriate business procedures and policies are in place, identify potential areas of exposure and make recommendations to address issues. UMKC and KCUR are currently exploring a separation whereby KCUR would become an independent community owned non-profit organization. It is anticipated that this will occur in the next 18 months. This position and role will move to the new organization, should this transition of ownership occur. Core Areas of Responsibility
After KCUR is an independent entity there will be responsibilities in new areas. For example, banking and financial policy development and many others. Key Responsibilities
Shift
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), benefit eligible, staff position. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $70,512 - $96,000 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
