The Greenville Children's Developmental Service Agency ( CDSA) is the primary portal of entry for children referred to, or made eligible for the N.C. Infant-Toddler Program ( ITP) from seven counties (Beaufort, Bertie, Greene, Hyde, Martin, Pitt and Wayne) in the eastern region of the state. The CDSA is responsible for diagnostic and multidisciplinary evaluations, ITP service coordination, planning and authorizing all early intervention services as mandated by Part C of IDEA, and either providing or assisting families to access specialized therapies.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct service coordination to Infant/Toddler children and families. Services must be provided in compliance with Federal and State regulations for the Infant/Toddler Program.

Associate degree in a related Human Services discipline and two years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

State regulations require that the candidate for CDSA Service Coordinator must have received a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: B-K Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Education, Child Development, Human Development, Family Relations, Family Studies, Family and Consumer Sciences, Psychology or Social Work, or another Human Services field. Training and/or experience working with children with developmental disabilities or with agencies serving children and families who are receiving early intervention services is highly preferred.

Infant-Toddler Family Specialist Certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
