Job Description:
*Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
*Perform routine mouse handling, restraint, and health monitoring of rodents (mice) at the CRADL vivarium
*Conduct in vivo procedures including:
Intravenous (IV) dosing
Intraperitoneal (IP) dosing
Oral gavage (preferred)
Subcutaneous and other dosing routes as needed
Perform mouse procedures following approved protocols.
Establish tumor xenograft/syngeneic models through tumor implantation.
Randomize animals into study groups according to study protocols.
*Collect biological samples (blood, tissues, tumors) as required.
Monitor animals for clinical signs, body weight, and study endpoints.
Maintain accurate study records on electronic record (Studylog preferred) and document procedures in compliance with company SOPs.
*Ensure compliance with IACUC, institutional, and regulatory guidelines for animal care and use or familiar with CRADL system
*Support in vivo scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support preclinical oncology and pharmacology studies.
Required Qualifications:
*A Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, with 1+ years of experience
*or Associate Degree or GED with Certification with 5 years experience, in animal handing techniques, including tumor implantation, randomization, dosing IV and IP.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of Experience with animal handling, tumor models, IV/IP dosing, oral gavage, blood collection, and necropsy. Experience with CRADL system is a plus.
Experience with oncology, immunology, or pharmacology studies.
Familiarity with electronic data capture systems Studylog. AALAS certification is a plus.
