Overview

Amyx is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Defense Health Agency program in Falls Church, VA.

This individual will support the control and coordination of actions supporting the management of the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program.



Responsibilities

    • Serves as Defense Travel Administrator (DTA), coordinate, and provide advice, assistance, and guidance covering a wide variety of travel-related requirements.
    • Monitors the integrity of travel program requirements. Participates in conducting professional analysis of procedures, methods, and practices relative to travel program requirements.
    • Serves as a liaison with a widely dispersed customer/support base including DOD's, Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO), the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Government Travel Card Administrators, Government Travel Card (GTC) contractor, and various civilian sector organizations.
    • Monitors functional aspects of the DTS to ensure continued successful operation. Assist in Developing help desk policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Troubleshoots local DTS Tier II Help Desk travel problems; follows up to ensure resolution. Establishes and maintains organizations, groups, routing lists, and user profiles within the systems.
    • Maintains a database of user information and controls user access to Privacy Act information and travel documents. Assigns appropriate permission levels to official personnel and travelers for their respective role in the DTS hierarchy.
    • Monitors the processing and/or reviewing of DTS travel documents. Monitors the processing/reviewing/approving of DTS travel documents.
    • Routinely prepares reports for management on the status of transactions within DTS to include delinquent travel card accounts.
    • Provides support to the Debt Management Program monitor on debt issues and problem resolutions.
    • Coordinates with Resource Management and Budget to ensure accurate line of accounting.
    • Assists with the management of the Government Travel Card Program to ensure applications are processed properly and in a timely manner. Applications are examined to ensure proper completeness such as applicant's proper name, Social Security Number, address, and supervisor's signature. All applications will be accompanied with a Memorandum of Understanding on the proper use of the Government issued travel card.
    • Applies knowledge of regulatory directives and policies to manage and monitor the use of the Government issued travel card; advises management/superiors on problems such as misuse, credit and cash limitations, delinquencies, and related problems. Assist employees with disqualification issues. Develop and maintain training database to prepare reports for management as required.
    • Performs a variety of administrative functions in executing travel requirements, policies, and procedures. Reviews local policy and guidance as a result of changes in travel regulatory guidance, new requirements, personnel changes, etc. Assists in developing command policy memorandums, recurring reports, information papers, briefings, and guidance. Assist in developing, documents, updates, and publishes local User's manuals, SOPs, and Business Rules as required for Travel management systems.
