Position Title: Administrative Assistant III Job Category: University Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Administrative Assistant III Job Duties: Reporting to the Department Chair, provide administrative support for the academic operations of the Department of Communication. This position assures that the needs of the department are served and support is provided in areas that include comprehensive departmental operation, financial planning and administration, personnel administration, instructional activities, and liaison with other campus offices. This position requires independent judgement and decision-making skills. Acts as lead worker to the front office Administrative Assistant. Key Job Responsibilities:

Purchasing Function as the Procurement Credit Card Coordinator for the Department for purchases up to $2,000.
Function as purchasing agent for the Department within University regulations.
Coordinate with the appropriate UWM office for purchases beyond Administrative Assistant III's jurisdiction.

Compensation: $23.00-$25.00hr (Final salary offer will be determined based on qualifications and experience) Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to learn new software and web-based applications Excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the general public Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the College of Letters and Science and University policies and procedures related to academic program administration Experience effectively using UWM systems including Workday, PAWS, CIM, CLSS, and Slate Experience with grant administration How to Apply: 1.
