Key Responsibilities

Health Systems, Payer, and Executive Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the Medical Affairs scientific expert for payer, health-system, IDN, PBM, specialty pharmacy, medical director, pharmacy leadership, formulary, and population health stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategic payer and health-system engagement plans aligned to Medical Affairs objectives and compliant scientific exchange.
  • Conduct balanced medical-to-medical exchange on disease state, clinical evidence, real-world evidence, health economics, outcomes, treatment pathways, guidelines, unmet needs, and access-related considerations.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical/scientific inquiries from payer and health-system stakeholders in accordance with Cosette Medical Affairs policies.

Insights, Evidence, and Value Communication

  • Capture and communicate actionable insights on payer evidence needs, formulary considerations, utilization management, treatment pathways, access barriers, patient journey challenges, and policy or market trends.
  • Support payer-focused medical resources, value-based scientific materials, advisory boards, population health discussions, congress activities, and evidence-generation initiatives as appropriate.

Internal Partnership and Compliance

  • Maintain current expertise in assigned disease areas, Cosette products, competitor products, clinical data, real-world evidence, health economics, guidelines, payer dynamics, health-system structures, and relevant compliance requirements.
  • Maintain timely and complete documentation of stakeholder engagements, insights, follow-up activities, training, expenses, and other required records.

Qualifications

Education

  • Terminal scientific or clinical degreerequired(PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO).

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, Medical Affairs, field medical, HEOR, payer strategy, market access, or health-system engagement experience required.
  • Experience engaging payer, health-system, IDN, PBM, medical director, pharmacy leadership, formulary, specialty pharmacy, or population health stakeholders required.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. payer dynamics, formulary decision-making, utilization management, medical and pharmacy benefit management, specialty pharmacy, patient access, population health, value-based care, evidence interpretation, and compliant scientific communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific, clinical, health economics, and outcomes information clearly, accurately, credibly, and compliantly to senior healthcare decision-makers.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting payer evidence planning, value dossier development, launch readiness, field medical planning, advisory boards, scientific communications, real-world evidence discussions, or medical insight generation preferred.
  • Familiarity with oncology or specialty pharmaceutical access channels, including buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, IDNs, regional oncology networks, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, PBMs, and value-based arrangements preferred.

Required Capabilities

  • Strong scientific, clinical, health economics, and strategic acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate complex evidence to senior healthcare decision-makers.
  • Executive presence, strong presentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication, strategic account planning, relationship-building, and virtual/in-person engagement capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, organized, analytical, accountable, and able to manage complex external stakeholder relationships with scientific judgment, business awareness, and integrity.

Travel Requirements

  • Field-based, home-office role supporting assigned national or regional payer and health-system stakeholders; candidate should reside near a major airport.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40-60%, including overnight travel for payer and health-system engagements, internal meetings, congresses, advisory boards, and other business needs.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to meet healthcare-industry-representative credentialing requirements for facility access.
