Job Summary

The Sr. Business Operations Analyst - Nursing Division provides advanced financial, workforce, and operational analysis in support of executive decision-making and strategic initiatives. This role builds upon the foundation of the Business Operations Analyst position, taking on greater responsibility for complex financial modeling, operational planning, and enterprise-level collaboration. The Sr. Analyst serves as a key advisor to Nursing and Business Operations leadership, delivering high-level decision support and leading initiatives that improve efficiency, optimize resources, and ensure fiscal accountability.

Financial & Budget Management_30%

- Lead the development, monitoring, and reconciliation of annual operating and capital budgets for the Nursing Division.

- Conduct advanced financial modeling and forecasting to support strategic decision making.

- Provide ad hoc financial and operational analyses with actionable recommendations for executive leadership.

- Identify trends in cost center performance, contract labor usage, and staffing costs; recommend strategies for improvement.

Workforce Planning & Operations_25%

- Oversee workforce optimization strategies, including agency utilization, position control, and staffing mix analysis.

- Partner with HR, Finance, and Nursing leadership to align staffing models with financial and operational goals.

- Develop labor forecasts, dashboards, and performance reports to support workforce strategy.

Decision Support & Analytics_20%

- Design and deliver complex data analyses to support nursing and organizational priorities.

- Leverage business intelligence tools to present insights in clear, solution-oriented formats for executives

- Translate complex financial/operational data into actionable recommendations.

Project Leadership & Process Improvement_15%

- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at operational efficiency, cost reduction, and workforce optimization.

- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes with minimal supervision.

- Recommend and implement process improvements that support strategic nursing and enterprise-wide goals.

Leadership & Collaboration_10%

- Serve as a primary liaison between Nursing, Finance, HR, IT, and Revenue Integrity on operational and financial initiatives.

Provide mentorship and guidance to analysts and staff on financial, operational, and analytical practices.

- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership to support high-level decision-making.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration

Preferred:

Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration

Required:

Five (5) or more years of job-related experience

Preferred:

Seven (7) or more years of job-related experience
