Commercial Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
Linden Oaks Management is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of a four-building commercial office park. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is self-motivated, and can independently identify and complete maintenance tasks to keep the property safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout four commercial office buildings.
- Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs and troubleshoot common maintenance issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Inspect buildings and grounds regularly to identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the office park, including:
- Picking up sticks, branches, and debris.
- Leaf collection and seasonal cleanup.
- Light snow shoveling and ice treatment around entrances and walkways.
- Assist with painting, drywall repairs, door and hardware adjustments, and other general building repairs.
- Coordinate with outside contractors when necessary.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Experience with general carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and other handyman skills is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and perform repairs independently.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
- Basic HVAC knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to maintenance requests efficiently.
- Friendly, professional attitude when interacting with tenants and vendors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Schedule
- Full-time (Monday Friday)
- Occasional after-hours or emergency response may be required during inclement weather or urgent maintenance situations.
