Manufacturing Technician

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Technical training in machining, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and process instructions

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or machining experience required
• Experience with lathes, mills, tooling, and machine setup
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and gauges
• Knowledge of G-code adjustments and machining processes preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to assist in training production personnel

Job Duties

• Perform machine changeovers, setups, and tooling replacements
• Install and adjust tools, fixtures, jigs, and gauges
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues
• Verify setup accuracy and support quality requirements
• Monitor tool life and coordinate tooling changes
• Make minor edits to G-code programs, speeds, feeds, and machine parameters
• Support engineering during tooling trials and new product launches
• Assist maintenance and production teams with machine repairs and recovery efforts
• Train operators on setup procedures and process improvements
• Maintain setup documentation and communicate process concerns
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Support TPM activities and production operations as needed

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around manufacturing equipment throughout the shift
• Frequent lifting of tooling, fixtures, and machine components
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, measuring devices, and production equipment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
