Position Overview




Essential Job Duties
The Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences trains doctors of veterinary medicine, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows interested in research-based careers focused on discovering new information about animal and human health and disease and using those findings to enhance animal and human health and well-being.

The Bioelectricity Lab develops next generation technologies for the detection and treatment of diseases using electric field mediated phenomena.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate for the Bioelectricity Postdoc Research Scholar position will lead large/small animal studies investigating the immunological effects a new pulsed electric field cancer therapy.

The candidate will additionally lead with other experiments in the laboratory using in vitro models to investigate the effects of pulsed electric fields on biological tissues.
Other Work/Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct in vitro and small animal studies
  • Evaluate samples from an participate in large animal studies
  • Participate in lab meetings and journal club
  • Prepare manuscripts and grants
  • Other duties as assigned
