Education Requirements



  • 5+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, and demand forecasting.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, or APS planning systems.
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring production planning teams is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and manufacturing business systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.


Job Duties



  • Evaluate current production planning and scheduling processes.
  • Train and mentor employees on production planning best practices, demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Develop and support long-term, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate with production, materials, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve planning and scheduling issues.
  • Identify planning gaps, capacity constraints, and delivery risks, and recommend process improvements.
  • Help establish standardized planning procedures and sustainable best practices.
