Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Merchandiser to service retail accounts by ensuring products are properly stocked, rotated, displayed, and maintained according to merchandising standards. This role is responsible for servicing both large and small retail locations, maintaining inventory levels, supporting sales initiatives, and building positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable traveling between multiple store locations while delivering excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities



  • Service assigned retail accounts by stocking, rotating, and merchandising products in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels in coolers, shelves, displays, and other designated merchandising locations.
  • Rotate products to minimize expired or damaged inventory.
  • Inspect merchandise and notify the appropriate sales representative of damaged, expired, or out-of-stock products.
  • Ensure merchandising equipment and displays are clean, functional, and presented professionally.
  • Execute established merchandising processes and maintain compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor competitor activity, including pricing changes and new product launches, and communicate findings to management.
  • Assist the sales team with promotional displays, product placements, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with retail managers and store personnel.
  • Maintain required records, including mileage, training, and other documentation as required.
  • Represent the company professionally while servicing assigned accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous merchandising, retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable personal vehicle with the minimum required insurance coverage for business use.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency using smartphones and mobile applications.
  • Ability to assess inventory levels and identify merchandising opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and travel between multiple retail locations throughout the workday.


Education



  • High school diploma or GED required.


Work Experience



  • Previous merchandising, retail, sales, customer service, or consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
