Marketplace Supervisor-FT
Overview:
To supervise, motivate and coordinate daily cafe store operations in a professional, courteous and service-driven manner. Support, train and lead store staff to success by enforcing 5 star service standards, suggestive up-selling, in depth product knowledge, creative merchandising, working as a team player, recognizing and acting on cafe related trends and assume financial responsibility for your outlet.
Responsibilities:
1. Motivate and lead sales associates to achieve and exceed monthly sales goals/capture rate.
2. Lead the associate team. Observe and coach their 4 keys selling behaviors. Lead by example through delivering great customer service using the 4 keys.
3. Implement selling strategy and product training techniques for all Sales Associates in order to achieve sales objectives. Track conversion rates and daily goals. Implement contests and/or sales incentives on a monthly basis and recognize top performers. Develop an enthusiastic approach to suggesting other shops and their merchandise as a cross marketing tool.
4. Develop associate's visual merchandising skills by involving them in product displays and remerchandising.
5. Work with Cafe Director to plan trunk shows and special events. Attend resume meetings to capture maximum revenue from group business. Show initiative with driving traffic/business from in-house guests.
6. Partner with marketing/membership to relay all communication to guest, locals and members. Update information pertaining to cafe for weekly eblast, website and newsletters content.
7. Drive sales by personal clienteling and coaching associates with their client books.
8. Implement weekly tasks and work assignments for each Sales Associates. Including S&P log, shipping orders, invoice log, and gift card sales.
9. Run weekly inventory reports and communicate results with Director of Cafe. Also track trends, requests, best sellers and slow movers. Also manage defective or damaged merchandise and potential mark downs/aging.
10. Assist Director of Cafe in recruiting and hiring new staff members. Take an active role in the interview process and yearly performance evaluations of staff.
11. Partner with Cafe Director and corporate buyers to create and maintain adequate inventory levels for each season.
12. Assist in annual budget preparation with Director of Cafe by discussing staffing levels, merchandise assortment, store layout, store operations, revenue projections and opportunities.
13. Hold staff to the highest standards of professional appearance/dress code, attendance, parking policy, phone etiquette and use of company equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for supervision cafe staff.
