Job Description:

*Based on the scope of the role, onsite/in-person expectations and business needs, we're exclusively seeking candidates who reside in Albany, NY / Capital Region / Mid-Hudson Valley

Summary:

Level II:

The Sales Executive II is an intermediate or mid-level sales position with the CDPHP Commercial Growth department applying acquired sales skills, exercising judgement within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. The Sales Executive II will be responsible for identifying, lead generating and conversion of prospective clients with varying complexity. The Sales Executive II will be responsible for preparing and executing a sales strategy as approved by the Director. The Sales Executive II will be responsible for developing and delivering presentations to brokers, prospective clients, members, and other key stakeholders educating them about products and programming. The Sales Executive II will be responsible for consulting with key stakeholders in the market to provide strategies and solutions from CDPHP with varying complexity. The Sales Executive II will ultimately be delivering the CDPHP value proposition in the market to prospects of varied complexity. The Sales Executive II will represent CDPHP by actively participating in community events by utilizing already developed relationships with key stakeholders in the market. The Sales Executive II will provide feedback and recommendations for market needs including products and programming and maintain market knowledge keeping current with industry trends and competitive insights.

Level III:

The Sales Executive III will be recognized as CDPHP's consultative sales expert functioning with a high degree of autonomy. The position will hold responsibility for preparing, implementing, and analyzing a sales strategy including developing and delivering presentations to brokers, prospective employer groups and members and other stakeholders educating them about products and programming as well as consulting with key stakeholders in the market to analyze problems/issues/needs of a diverse scope and provide comprehensive strategies and solutions from CDPHP. The Sales Executive III will be responsible for identifying prospective clients, lead generation and conversion. The Sales Executive III will ultimately be delivering the CDPHP value proposition in the market. The Sales Executive will represent CDPHP by actively participating in community events, establishing, developing, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in the market. The Sales Executive will provide feedback and recommendations for market needs including products and programming and maintain strong market knowledge anticipating industry trends and competitive insights. The Sales Executive III will formulate strategies, recommend policies, processes, and resources for clients with the highest level of complexity.

Essential Accountabilities:

Level II:

  • Responsible for promoting CDPHP, CDPHN and UBI products and services by consulting with prospective clients/brokers and recommending CDPHP solutions for clients with varied complexity.

  • Leverage and deepen relationships with prospects, assigned brokers and other stakeholders across CDPHP territory.

  • Document all activity in CRM.

  • Consult with Underwriting when proposing solutions to clients, brokers and other stakeholders.

  • Collect and analyze information and data for internal and external constituent needs.

  • Stay current with trends and competitive information and recommend product and programming ideas to internal stakeholders.

  • Attend all sales training and external events to stay current with technical and professional skills required for the position.

  • Meet monthly/yearly sales goals/quotas as outlined by management.

  • Provide consultative solutions and strategy to employer groups and distribution channel stakeholders with varied complexity.

  • Actively participate in industry related organizations and prospective clients interest organizations and community events to maintain visibility and access to key stakeholders and build professional networks.

  • The employee agrees to comply with CDPHP's Corporate Compliance Policy, and all laws, rules, regulations and standards of conduct relating to the Corporate Compliance Policy and has a duty and obligation to report any suspected violations of any law, the standards of conduct or Corporate Compliance Policy to his or her immediate Supervisor, the fraud and abuse hotline, the Compliance Officer, the Compliance Director, Human Capital Management or the Chief Executive Officer.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Level III:

  • Build and leverage deep relationships with prospects, assigned brokers and other key stakeholders across CDPHP territory.

  • Work in partnership with Underwriting when consulting with and proposing solutions to clients, brokers, and other key stakeholders.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret information and data for internal and external constituent needs.

  • Stay current with and anticipate trends and competitive information and recommend product and programming ideas to internal stakeholders.

  • Attend all sales training, industry training and external events needed to ensure up to date technical and professional skills required for the position as the subject matter expert.

  • Meet monthly/yearly sales goals/quotas as outlined by management.

  • Provide consultative solutions and strategy to employer groups and distribution channel stakeholders of significant complexity.

  • Actively participate in industry related organizations and prospective clients interest organizations and community events to maintain visibility and access to key stakeholders and build professional networks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • NYS Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required or secured after 90 days of hire.

  • Minimum of four (4) year's relevant experience.

  • 4 years' experience in health care, insurance or third-party administrator setting preferred

  • 4 years' experience in B2B sales is required

  • 4 years' experience working with external stakeholders required.

  • Consulting and negotiation skills required.

  • Ability work with prospects of moderate complexity

  • Ability to work successfully in an independent environment

  • Established relationships with market stakeholders

  • A positive mindset, active listening skills, confidence, and a relentless desire to succeed are a must.

  • Ability to work independently and confidently make decisions.

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.

  • Demonstrated ability at public speaking and/or facilitation of meetings required.

  • Active listening, consultation and solution to clients with moderately complex needs

  • Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategy for assigned territory

  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop leads and build a pipeline.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical language to key stakeholders

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to overcome objections with stakeholders

  • Experience with CRMs.

  • Must have access to reliable transportation. If driving a vehicle for CDPHP business, employee must have valid driver's license, current inspection and appropriate insurance coverage in effect at all times.

Level III:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 10 years' experience in health care, insurance or third-party administrator setting preferred

  • 10 years' experience in B2B sales is required

  • Ability to provide consultative solutions and strategy autonomously

Compensation Range(s):

Level II (E4) - Minimum: $65,346 - Maximum: $117,622

Level III (E5) - Minimum: $71,880 - Maximum: $129,384

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
