THE POSITION

Help CMSU fulfill its mission "To participate actively in a community-wide partnership to support residents of Columbia, Montour, Snyder, and Union Counties in achieving independence and personal development in order to enhance their quality of life."

Our team is hiring part-time County Social Services Aide 1s work with our 24-7 Crisis Residential Program. This is a short-term alternative to hospitalization for anyone experiencing an acute crisis. If you want to help people find the community support and internal resources they need to make it through their darkest days, we want to hear from you.


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides support to guests and clients during interview, intake, arrival, and departure with our 24-7 Crisis Residential Program. As a part-time County Social Services Aide 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Help Develop Plans: Talk to individuals to help them come up with crisis plans and post-crisis plans such as Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Personal Medicine
  • Teach New Skills: Work with guests to help them learn and practice recovery oriented coping skills during their stay at our facility
  • Aid Daily Living: Assist guests with activities of daily living such as budgeting, nutrition, and meeting their other health and life needs
  • Support Guest Comfort: Contribute to maintaining a clear, safe, and secure environment for our guests
  • Receive Training: Participate in continuing education activities and meetings
  • Act with Integrity: Adhere to all laws, regulations, rules, and policies related to outpatient recovery, confidentiality, and agency standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Part-time employment
  • Work hours vary. Work includes different shifts as well as various start and end times.
    • A shift differential is available for those working a night shift.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Other Requirements:
