Responsibilities

As The Security Administration Team Lead, you will:

    Provide disciplined administrative support across a broad portfolio of classified security functions.
  • Manage records, processes security actions, update documentation and systems of record, coordinates workflows, and track required reviews or follow-up activities.
  • Support security specialists and Government stakeholders by maintaining orderly files, accurate status information, complete correspondence, and timely movement of actions through established processes. Work may span personnel, physical, industrial, international, operational, and other security disciplines while remaining focused on documentation control and administrative execution.
  • Through reliable records management and workflow coordination, the Security Specialist Administrative helps preserve accountability, audit readiness, and continuity across high-volume security operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Process and track administrative security actions across personnel, physical, industrial, international, and operational functions.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, correspondence, logs, rosters, and supporting documentation in approved systems of record.
  • Coordinate workflow routing, suspense dates, reviews, approvals, and follow-up actions with responsible stakeholders.
  • Update security documentation and status trackers to reflect current access, facility, personnel, and program information.
  • Prepare routine reports, briefings, memoranda, forms, and official correspondence in accordance with established procedures.
  • Review administrative packages for completeness, consistency, required signatures, and supporting documentation.
  • Support inspections, data calls, records reviews, onboarding, debriefing, and recurring program-administration activities.
  • Identify overdue or incomplete actions and coordinate resolution to maintain timely, compliant security processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day security administration support and coordinate team workload, priorities, and quality of execution.
  • Support visitor control, visit requests, badging, CAC-related coordination, onboarding actions, and security records administration.
  • Coordinate administrative support for personnel security processing, access requests, indoctrinations, debriefings, and related actions as required.
  • Assist with security education, awareness, reporting, and administrative support for incidents, waivers, and accreditations when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate tracking, documentation, and coordination across supported security administration processes.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and 10 years of directly relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 14 years of directly related work experience.
  • Experience must include support to Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information environments
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across Government, contractor, and external stakeholders; prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence; and lead a team in fast paced classified environments.
  • Security certifications a plus
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to meet any applicable Special Access Program eligibility requirements identified by the Government.


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $132,500.00/Yr. - USD $221,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
