Full-Time | Three-Day Weekend Every Week

Advanced Assembly, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support our electronics manufacturing operation by maintaining and improving production test equipment, programming fixtures, calibration processes, and manufacturing systems. In this role, you'll partner closely with Manufacturing and Test Engineering to ensure reliable production, exceptional product quality, and continuous process improvement.

What You'll Do
As our Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic test fixtures, programming equipment, and manufacturing tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on production test equipment.
  • Validate manufacturing test fixtures and analyze equipment failures.
  • Maintain and implement approved test software revisions.
  • Support production by quickly resolving technical issues affecting manufacturing.
  • Design, develop, source, and improve manufacturing, tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Test Engineering on process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation, operating instructions, and known-good ("gold") PCBAs.
  • Mentor Manufacturing Technicians and support employee training.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic test equipment, manufacturing fixtures, or automated production equipment.
  • Strong understanding of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
  • LabVIEW
  • Functional test systems
  • Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gage R&R)
  • Design for Test (DFT)
  • IPC workmanship standards
  • ISO quality systems
  • Failure analysis
  • Continuous improvement methodologies
