The successful applicant(s) must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. We seek clinical educators to participate in part- time and/or full-time inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in Internal Medicine within an academic setting in one or more of the following clinical specialties: * Cardiology These positions offer excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine with time dedicated to teaching, research, and scholarly activity. Applicants who have completed a clinical fellowship in their respective specialties are preferred. The successful candidate(s) will practice at UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated Clinics in Inland Southern California. The UCR School of Medicine's mission is to improve the health of the community in the Inland Empire, one of the most ethnically diverse and medically underserved areas of the country. Basic qualifications Additional qualifications Preferred qualifications Health Sciences Clinical Instructor Rank Assistant, Associate and Full Professor Rank Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Advancement through the faculty ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input. The posted UC salary scales Academic salaries | UCOP set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 for the salary range. The Salary range for this position is $131,200 - 344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan HSCP Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Possess an M.D. or equivalent degree Has current California Medical License or is eligible for licensure in the State of California. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or appropriate American Certifying Board. Must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospitals.
