The Business Analyst serves as an individual contributor responsible for delivering advanced business analysis, reporting, and operational insights across Bank Solutions and the broader Jack Henry organization. This role works with a high degree of independence to support leadership decision-making through accurate, timely, and well-documented analytics and reporting deliverables.

The position requires strong analytical capability, the ability to manage complex and recurring reporting needs, and effective partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; or Monett, MO.

The salary range for this position is $55,000- $68,700 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Scope & Complexity
    • Independently supports moderately complex to complex business analysis and reporting efforts that impact multiple stakeholders or teams.
    • Owns recurring reporting deliverables and analytics outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
    • Applies sound judgment in prioritizing work, identifying risks or issues, and escalating as appropriate.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Develops, maintains, and enhances operational and business reporting, including KPI tracking and dashboard solutions.
    • Analyzes trends, variances, and performance metrics to support operational visibility and leadership decision-making.
    • Translates business requirements into clear, actionable analytical outputs.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Partnership
    • Prepares executive-ready summaries, documentation, and materials for leadership reviews, industry updates, and strategic initiatives.
    • Partners with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and align reporting to business needs.
    • Communicates complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Process & Documentation
    • Documents data logic, reporting methodologies, and business processes to support consistency and repeatability.
    • Identifies opportunities to improve reporting workflows, data clarity, and operational efficiency.
    • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts within the Bank Solutions organization.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of data analytics experience.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced business analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level documentation.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience supporting analytics or reporting within financial services, banking, or regulated environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise data sources and standardized KPI/metric frameworks.
  • Prior responsibility for recurring operational or executive reporting deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting processes, reporting logic, or analytics methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional initiatives involving data, analytics, or operational performance tracking.
  • Proficient use of AI-enabled productivity and analytics tools (e.g., for research, summarization, documentation, or analysis support) in a business or reporting context.
