Job Summary The Student Services Specialist Senior serves as a lead resource for the Dual Enrollment Department by coordinating operational processes and providing advanced student services support to current and prospective students, parents, high school partners, instructors, and college departments. This position performs technically complex student enrollment, admissions, registration, records, academic planning, instructor eligibility, and compliance functions while coordinating office workflow and ensuring adherence to college, district, state, and federal policies and procedures. The student services specialist senior researches and resolves complex issues, maintains department records and reporting systems, prepares reports, coordinates semester-based operational activities, and serves as a liaison between the college, partner high schools, academic divisions, and district departments to support the effective delivery of the Dual Enrollment Department. This position develops and maintains program communications, presentations, website content, training materials, reports, and operational documentation to support students, instructors, high school personnel, and college staff. The student services specialist senior coordinates outreach activities, provides technical guidance and training to staff, monitors and analyzes program data to ensure accuracy and compliance, identifies opportunities to improve operational processes and customer service, and recommends enhancements that support program effectiveness. As a member of the Early College Programs team within Enrollment Services, this position collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, supports special projects and strategic initiatives, and contributes to the successful administration of the college's Dual Enrollment Department. Essential Functions 40% - Coordinates, implements, and evaluates Dual Enrollment services for current and prospective students, parents, instructors, and partner high schools. Provides advanced student services support and guidance throughout the enrollment process, including admissions, placement testing, registration, records, financial aid, and tuition payment processes. Assists students and stakeholders through in-person, virtual, phone, chat, and email communication, and collaborates with Enrollment Services departments, High School College Advisors, Academic Divisions, and external partners to resolve complex enrollment issues and ensure effective program delivery. 30% - Coordinates operational processes that support the Dual Enrollment Department under the guidance of the Dual Enrollment Manager, including course setup, instructor eligibility, enrollment tracking, reporting, and program compliance. Develops, maintains, and analyzes reports to ensure data accuracy and support operational decision-making. Assists with updates and maintenance of the Dual Enrollment website and program communications, develops presentations and promotional materials, and researches and resolves complex operational issues requiring advanced knowledge of Early College and under-18 enrollment processes. 20% - Serves as the lead resource for the Dual Enrollment Program in the absence of the Dual Enrollment Manager by coordinating workflow, responding to escalated issues, and supporting daily program operations. Assists with training and provides technical guidance to full-time, part-time, and crossfunctional staff on Dual Enrollment processes, procedures, and systems. Facilitates meetings and presentations, develops training materials and operational procedures, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support continuous improvement and effective program implementation. 10% - Participates in committees, special projects, and strategic initiatives that support Enrollment Services, Early College Programs, and Student Affairs. Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate to the position. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. 2. Two (2) years of experience working in Student Services or Enrollment Services position at a community college or university 3. Two (2) years of customer service experience with a high degree of contact in-person, telephone, and/or e-mail and working with students and parents from various backgrounds 4. One (1) year or more of experience working with student information systems (SIS or PeopleSoft) 5. One (1) years of experience presenting information and responding to questions from students, parents, employees, and the general public in one-on-one and/or group situations. 6. One (1) year demonstrated leadership experience coordinating and/or leading project management and/or workflow 7. One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years. **** Experience within other community college systems or higher education institutions is valued and may be considered in addition to MCCCD experience.
