Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Position Summary

The Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders, driving organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, leadership development, workforce planning, and cultural transformation. This role partners closely with executive leadership to align people strategies with business objectives, build organizational capability, and ensure sustainable growth.

As a trusted consultant, the Director HRBP leverages business acumen, workforce analytics, and HR expertise to influence decision-making, enhance leadership effectiveness, and deliver impactful people solutions that support organizational performance and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders on organizational design, talent strategy, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into people priorities and actionable HR plans.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to leaders on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and change management.
  • Influence business decisions through data-driven insights and workforce analytics.
Talent Management & Leadership Development
  • Drive talent review, succession planning, and leadership development processes to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Partner with leaders to identify high-potential talent, critical skill gaps, and development opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and career growth.
  • Support executive coaching and leadership effectiveness programs.
Organizational Effectiveness & Transformation
  • Lead organizational design and restructuring initiatives that improve productivity, agility, and business performance.
  • Guide leaders through organizational change, mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and transformation efforts.
  • Assess organizational health and recommend solutions that enhance performance, accountability, and employee experience.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusion.
Workforce Planning & Analytics
  • Develop short- and long-term workforce strategies aligned with business growth plans.
  • Utilize workforce data, talent metrics, and market intelligence to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver hiring strategies for critical talent needs.
  • Monitor workforce productivity, diversity, retention, and succession metrics.
Employee Relations & Culture
  • Provide strategic guidance on complex employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Foster an environment of trust, accountability, and high performance.
  • Promote company values, culture, and leadership expectations across the organization.
  • Advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
HR Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Talent Management, and Employee Relations) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Influence and support the implementation of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects that enhance organizational capability and employee experience.
  • Act as a key member of the HR leadership team and contribute to broader people strategy discussions.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR Business Partner leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive and senior leadership teams.
  • Experience leading organizational design, change management, talent management, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to business outcomes.
  • Expertise in employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, and organizational development.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging workforce data and insights.
  • Outstanding communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related discipline.
  • HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting global organizations and distributed teams.
  • Experience within technology, professional services, manufacturing, or other fast-paced growth environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
