Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician - Windham, Maine

MaineHealth Primary Care is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician to join our established and highly respected practice in Windham, Maine.

Providers are encouraged to take ownership of their patient panels and provide comprehensive care whenever possible, fostering meaningful patient relationships and continuity of care.

Position Highlights

  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE position
  • 100% outpatient clinical practice
  • Flexible scheduling options including four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days
  • Clinic hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Approximately 32 patient-facing hours per week within a 40-hour schedule
  • Shared telephone call coverage in a group of seven physicians across two practices
  • Call rotation of approximately 1:7, including rotating holiday coverage
  • Opportunity to practice broad-spectrum primary care for both adult and pediatric patients
  • Convenient access to on-site and nearby ancillary services, including Nordx laboratory services and limited radiology capabilities

Teaching Opportunities

Physicians have the opportunity to participate in medical education through MaineHealth's training programs. The practice regularly hosts:

  • Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residents, 3 - 5 annually
  • 1-3 medical students throughout the year
  • Typical teaching rotations of one month

Teaching participation is encouraged but flexible based on physician interest.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of Maine
