SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manger of Social Work and Care Management and working in collaboration with the leadership teams at St. Anne's and Morton Hospital, the MH Supervisor, Emergency Department Behavioral Health is responsible for the oversight and operations management of the Emergency Department's behavioral health services ensuring that patients in acute psychological distress receive timely crisis evaluations, are referred to the next appropriate level of care, and are treated with dignity and respect. By working closely with medical staff, administration, and patients, the supervisor aims to create a patient-centered environment that promotes trust and satisfaction for behavioral health patients. The role is dynamic and multifaceted, requiring strategic thinking and a commitment to continuous improvement. Oversees the day-to-day activities of the Emergency Services Teams at the Brown Health Massachusetts hospitals. The Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the provision of high quality crisis intervention, emergency evaluation and care coordination to patients of all ages who present with behavioral health needs. Directly responsible for clinical and administrative supervision of all clinical staff activities, addressing complaints and concerns of patients and providing direct clinical care as needed. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 5-10 years of experience in the behavioral health field Highly effective conflict resolution and mediation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams Management experience preferred NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises up to 20 FTE's.
