New York Tech's Manhattan (NYC) campus seeks an Associate Director for First-Year admissions recruitment, who will execute a domestic strategic recruitment plan. This role is considered a hybrid/remote position that offers the flexibility of working remotely and in the NYC office, in line with New York Tech's policy. The Associate Director will be responsible for meeting enrollment objectives in their designated territories, with a focus on recruitment of the domestic first-year student population, managing a team, as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Director of Admissions.



Responsibilities

    Assist the Senior Associate Director of Admissions in development and implementation of a strategic domestic first-year recruitment plan to meet admission goals at New York campuses; use internal and external data to assess effectiveness and provide periodic reports and ongoing recommendations; assist with focused marketing and communication planning;
  • Management of staff members to implement current strategic plan and meet enrollment goals
  • Collaborate with internal institutional stakeholders and campus partners to facilitate first-year enrollment.
  • Meet with and offer advisement to prospective students and their families; build relationships with school counselors, independent educational advisors and other key influencers in order to meet enrollment goals;
  • Manage assigned recruitment territories and attend recruitment events; actively manage and elevate opportunities for student engagement throughout enrollment life cycle
  • Supervise domestic first-year team members to ensure timely and accurate turnaround of all domestic first-year related items; provide exceptional customer service.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively, to travel between both NY campuses, to work nights and weekends and support on-campus recruitment events, including Open Houses, Admitted Student Days, Information Sessions, etc.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 4 or more years of proven experience in domestic first-year admissions or recruitment are required.
  • Qualified candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and prioritizing skills as well as superior attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to build relationships with stakeholders as it relates to domestic first-year recruitment, including feeder schools, educational agencies and external organizations.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; experience working in student information systems (Peoplesoft) and customer relationship management systems (Slate) preferred
  • Commitment to integrity in the admissions process
