Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an Events Specialist based in any of our U.S. offices with preference for the Boston, Chicago, LA, Seattle, Portland or Miami office.

We're looking for a proactive event professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves bringing exceptional experiences to life-from intimate client dinners and webinars to large-scale conferences and sponsorship activations.

What You'll Do

As an Events Specialist, you'll own events from concept through execution and post-event analysis, partnering with attorneys, business development professionals, and firm leadership to create meaningful client and business engagement opportunities.

In this role, you will:


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events of all sizes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring seamless event delivery and an outstanding attendee experience.
  • Manage event logistics including venues, vendors, catering, AV, registration, branding, communications, and onsite execution.
  • Develop event strategies, timelines, budgets, and success measures that align with business goals.
  • Drive attendee engagement through event marketing, invitations, registration management, and follow-up communications.
  • Analyze event performance, measure ROI, and provide actionable insights to improve future programs.
  • Prepare attorneys and key stakeholders with briefing materials, attendee intelligence, and event logistics.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and vendors while delivering best-in-class service.
  • Provide onsite event leadership, including registration management, staffing coordination, and real-time problem solving.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of event planning experience, preferably in a professional services, legal, financial, or corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience working with event management, CRM, registration, or marketing technology platforms.
  • A collaborative mindset, customer-service orientation, and ability to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occasional travel required for onsite event support.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is:

  • New York City, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco $76,000 - $100,000
  • Washington DC, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica, Sacramento, Boston, and Seattle $73,000 - $100,000
  • All Other US Locations $71,000 - $89,000

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
