Job SummaryThe Quality Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance and Food Safety organization through data reporting, analysis, dashboard development, and KPI tracking. This role will focus on transforming consumer complaint, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and food safety data into clear, accurate, and actionable insights and reporting that supports risk identification, compliance, operational performance, and continuous improvement. This position supports recurring FS&Q reporting needs, with an initial focus on complaint trend reporting and supplier/manufacturing performance KPIs. This role will also support data cleaning, data standardization, dashboard development, and reporting process improvements to improve visibility, reduce manual reporting effort, and strengthen data-driven decision-making. The Quality Data Analyst will partner with Quality, Food Safety, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Consumer Relations, IT, and FS&Q leadership to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and useful for decision-making. Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesQuality Reporting & Business Intelligence * Develop and maintain recurring FS&Q reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries. * Prepare complaint, supplier, manufacturing, and food safety reports for leadership review. * Analyze trends by brand, category, SKU/item, supplier, site, issue type, and time period. * Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting needs. * Create clear visuals and summaries for non-technical stakeholders. * Support standardized reporting templates and repeatable reporting processes. Complaint Data Analytics * Lead the preparation and analysis of recurring consumer complaint trend reporting across brands and product categories. * Support complaint-per-million, year-over-year, and issue-type analysis. * Identify complaint trends, anomalies, emerging concerns, and recurring issues. * Maintain historical complaint views for SKU, category, supplier, and product analysis. * Partner with Consumer Relations and Quality to improve complaint data accuracy. * Identify opportunities to improve complaint coding, structure, and reporting usability. Supplier and Manufacturing Performance * Support supplier and manufacturing quality KPI reporting. * Analyze supplier, manufacturing, internal defect, product hold, and sanitation data. * Use available ERP and operational data sources, including SAP S4/HANA where applicable. * Partner with FS&Q, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and IT to improve data structure. * Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve KPI visibility. * Provide analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives. Food Safety and Quality KPI Support * Support FS&Q scorecards, metrics, and recurring performance reporting. * Analyze food safety and quality data for trends and reporting opportunities. * Support reporting for audits, nonconformances, CAPAs, product holds, and sanitation metrics. * Prepare data summaries for internal review and leadership decision-making. * Assist with compliance and performance reporting as needed. Data Quality, Structure, and Reporting Process Improvement * Clean, validate, organize, and structure data from multiple sources. * Identify missing fields, inconsistent coding, duplicate records, and reporting gaps. * Support standardization of reporting fields, definitions, and product hierarchies. * Help define supplier identifiers, issue categories, and data input standards. * Partner with IT, BI teams, and system owners to improve data access and quality. * Document recurring reports, data sources, definitions, assumptions, and limitations. * Support alignment of regional reporting practices into standardized global reporting processes where applicable. Dashboard Development and Automation * Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools. * Improve manual reporting through templates, automation, and standardized workflows. * Develop visual reporting for complaint trends, supplier KPIs, and manufacturing metrics. * Support improved trend monitoring as data maturity increases. * Collaborate with IT and BI resources to access, validate, and structure reporting data. Education and Experience ProfileEducation * Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business analytics, statistics, food science, quality management, engineering, supply chain, or related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Experience Required * 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, quality reporting, business intelligence, manufacturing analytics, consumer complaint reporting, or related field. * Experience developing dashboards, recurring reports, KPI summaries, or business performance metrics. * Experience working with large or complex data sets. * Experience cleaning, validating, organizing, and analyzing data. Experience Preferred * Experience within food, pet food, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, regulated manufacturing, or quality-focused environments. * Experience supporting quality, food safety, supplier quality, manufacturing, consumer relations, or operational reporting. * Experience working with ERP, QMS, CRM, or business intelligence systems. * Experience working with SAP S4/HANA or other ERP data sources. * Familiarity with SQL, relational databases or working with IT/BI teams to access and structure data. * Familiarity with CAPA, audit findings, nonconformances, product holds, sanitation metrics, root cause analysis or continuous improvement. Required Skills* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning, and large data set analysis. * Proficiency with Power BI or similar dashboarding and data visualization tools. * Ability to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPI summaries, and recurring business metrics. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, gaps, and data quality issues. * Ability to clean, validate, and organize data from multiple systems or sources. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. * Ability to translate data into clear summaries, visuals, and practical insights for non-technical stakeholders. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage recurring reporting deadlines and prioritize multiple requests. * Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Food Safety, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Consumer Relations, IT, and leadership teams. * Ability to document reporting processes, data sources, assumptions, definitions, and limitations.
