Job Title - Manager Business Unit Risk Digital Assets

Work Location - Westlake, TX - Hybrid - 4 days on site and 5th day remote.

Job Description -

  • You will be expected to perform business-as-usual project and operational activities that will

    provide key input into Premier Bank's evolving and maturing digital assets and

    spot crypto offering.
  • You will contribute towards building and improving the overarching strategies

    and policies to effectively safeguard the Company and our clients.
  • This individual is expected to possess and apply subject matter expertise to impact governance, oversight, policy and process development.



Key Responsibilities

This is an individual contributor position. Key responsibilities would include (but not be limited to) the below:

  • Assist the Director to ensure successful deployment and operation of digital assets risk management program and roadmap deliverables.
  • Tactically coordinate with various enterprise risk teams and program stakeholders to identify, assess, respond, measure, and report key risks related to the product implementation and ongoing monitoring.
  • Participate and offer subject matter expertise in activities that define business, technical, and operational requirements in Client's crypto and digital assets space, identifying gaps and issues.
  • Provide analysis, triage, and support of digital assets-related risk escalations and participate in resolution and/or make recommendations for further investigation as appropriate.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, identification of risk themes, and thematic issue resolution as appropriate. Also participate in related reporting and remediation.
  • Assist Director of Digital Assets with detailed documentation, administration, and reporting to program-related committees and subcommittees.
  • Be a thought leader in assisting with creation and implementation of comprehensive, holistic controls in a heterogeneous and decentralized business environment with a variety of users including employees, business partners, contractors, professional services, and customers.
  • Stay abreast of emerging and regulatory risks pertaining to crypto and digital assets and maintain subject matter expertise to assist the Director in ensuring that the program reflects business and regulatory drivers without affecting operational efficiency.
  • Actively participate as an invaluable member of a high-performing risk team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in creating program and operating procedures to continuously improve the digital assets risk management program.
  • Assist in the management of responses to program-related audit and regulatory inquiries.
  • Assist in the management of responses to program-related inquiries from leadership, businesses, subsidiaries, teams, and partners.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts among program teams and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of metrics, reports, and briefings to key program stakeholders and senior leadership.



Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a risk management practitioner, with increasing responsibility for deliverables and projects; preferably in digital assets and/or highly regulated banking entities.
  • Hands-on experience working in an enterprise risk or operations program.
  • Analyzes issues objectively, thinking through potential impacts and using out-of-the-box thinking to manage risks appropriately.
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements/laws related to digital assets and spot crypto offerings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with business and executive audiences, both orally and in writing, is required.
  • Experience in gathering requirements, documenting, and assessing information for implementing risk controls is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong initiative; self-starter; self-directed; ability to multitask.
  • Experience in project planning and meeting facilitation for multiple groups and projects is preferred.
  • Personally and professionally aligned with Schwab's vision and values, and a strong interest in financial services.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Graduate-level experience is a plus.
