Pharmacy Assistant

Position Title: Pharmacy Assistant

Work Location: Louisville KY, 40219

Assignment Duration: 3 Months

Work Schedule: M-F 2PM-10:30PM with potential overtime

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary: Employees will need to be able to follow on screen prompts to ensure all orders are both picked and packed according to program specifications. These tasks will require a keen attention to detail. There may be occasional mandatory overtime necessary in order to complete the daily workload.

Background & Context: Works in a fast-paced production environment known as an automated refill center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processes orders for shipping
• Folds and packs paperwork with prescriptions to prepare for shipping
• Sorts orders by store location and places in totes for shipping * Loads product into truck
• Complies with policies, procedures and SOP's
• Adheres to and promotes the Company's Shared ICARE principles
• Maintains continuous and consistent work flow in order to meet daily production goals
• Works productively either independently or as a team with acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks
• Understands and abides by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy
• Demonstrates problem resolution skills: ability to recognize, address and escalate issues to management

Qualification & Experience:

• Pharmacy Assistant certification
• Able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds
• Keen attention to detail
• Reliable transportation to and from work\
• Willing to work any necessary overtime

Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable): Works in a fast-paced production environment. Able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds. Potential mandatory overtime.

Additional Information (If Applicable): Once hired, employees will be required to obtain a KY Board of Pharmacy Technician License at their own expense, $25. This can be completed on site.
