Position Summary:

The Facilities Coordinator II is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility infrastructure, utilities, and equipment while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cGMP standards. The role also supports facility operations, preventive maintenance, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities



  • Maintains the overall facility integrity and functionality by following established Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures and actively participates in troubleshooting activities by submitting and performing adequate Work Orders (WOs).
  • Performs daily walkthroughs and periodic inspections of facility infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and equipment.
  • Utilizes, manages, and schedules outside resources, as required.
  • Maintains facility documentation in an audit-ready status at all times.
  • Creates and maintains documentation (i.e., records and reports) related to facility work, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), when applicable.
  • Maintains inventory of basic supplies and spare parts for utilities and process equipment.
  • Participates in the installation, setup, and commissioning of critical utility systems, process equipment, and analytical equipment.
  • Participates in the development and/or revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follows them when performing work in cGMP areas or when applicable.
  • Responds to critical facility equipment issues to eliminate safety concerns and minimize operational downtime.
  • Coordinates and executes internal and external requests for repairs, service, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.


Qualifications & Experience

  • BS degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a cGMP environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience servicing and maintaining building/facility systems and process equipment, including performing calibration checks on critical utility systems and process equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient with electrical and mechanical test equipment.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements regarding safety, hazardous chemicals, etc.
  • Working knowledge of GxP compliance, as well as ICH and FDA guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail with effectiveness and efficiency in performing work.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively while working independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Good knowledge of building, mechanical, and industrial principles.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to manage repairs and services when necessary.
