| Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
This position provides professional academic and administrative support to the Watson College of Education leadership team in the areas of academic policy, program reporting, survey development and review, grant development, and college-level projects. The position supports the planning, organization, preparation, and maintenance of materials needed to advance academic, research, policy, and college priorities. Work requires independent judgment, discretion, strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate complex academic and administrative projects across multiple stakeholders. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution; or a bachelor's degree and equivalent verifiable professional experience in academic administration, program support, institutional reporting, grant support, assessment, compliance, policy development, or a closely related area.
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly, organize complex information, manage deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work with sensitive academic, personnel, student, policy, budgetary, grant, survey, and program information with discretion and confidentiality.

| Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience |
- Experience in higher education, academic affairs, teacher education, program reporting, accreditation, assessment, compliance, policy review, survey development, grant proposal support, or college-level project coordination.
- Fundamental understanding of university and organizational structures and ability to collaborate effectively with college leadership, faculty, staff, and university offices.
- Proven experience managing recurring projects and reading, interpreting, and applying state, system, institutional, accreditation, or compliance requirements.
- Experience drafting and editing reports, handbooks, manuals, procedures, guidance documents, briefing materials, tables, memos, meeting notes, and presentations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex policies and generate precise reports.
- High motivation and ability to work independently, direct a wide range of tasks to meet deadlines, and make sound decisions quickly.
- Willingness and ability to rapidly learn office technologies and university systems.
- Fundamental understanding of and experience with survey development and assessment practices.
- Preferred experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau and advanced spreadsheet skills such as pivot tables, formulas, and data validation.
- Preferred ability to work with data in common systems such as Access or similar databases and to understand or maintain data definitions, documentation, and quality standards.
