Power BI Developer / Data Analyst

Role: Develop and sustain Power BI dashboards, analyze Army sustainment data, define business measures, validate data quality, conduct user reviews, and support production reporting.
Task 3 requires interactive, role-based dashboards covering supply, maintenance, readiness, distribution, and financial performance, with data modeling, data-quality validation, accessibility, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Strong hands-on Power BI development.
  • Strong SQL, DAX, Power Query, and data-analysis capability.
  • Experience developing production dashboards from multiple source systems.
  • Ability to work directly with operational SMEs and resolve metric-definition issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, business analytics, finance, logistics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may substitute.
  • Five or more years in BI, analytics, reporting, or data analysis.
  • Four or more years developing Power BI products.
  • Experience with:
    • DAX measures.
    • Power Query transformations.
    • Dimensional or semantic models.
    • SQL.
    • Data profiling and reconciliation.
    • Role-based dashboard design.
    • Drill-through, filters, alerts, and user-focused navigation.
    • User acceptance and defect correction.
  • Experience documenting data definitions, measures, assumptions, and source lineage.

Strong preferences
  • GCSS-Army, SAP ECC, ERP, Army Vantage, AESIP, LMP, NLAC, or other Army data.
  • Supply, maintenance, readiness, distribution, property, ammunition, or financial analytics.
  • Power BI Pro in Government tenants.
  • Accessibility and Section 508.
  • Python, R, Excel Power Pivot, or statistical analysis.
  • Experience supporting senior-leader decision dashboards.

Principal responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain SEA Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct source-data profiling and data-quality validation.
  • Define KPIs and business measures with the GCSS-Army SME.
  • Develop DAX, Power Query logic, semantic models, and visual designs.
  • Reconcile dashboard results to authoritative source data.
  • Implement role-based views and row-level security.
  • Conduct iterative reviews with CASCOM capability developers and data SMEs.
  • Prepare test cases, data dictionaries, report guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
  • Diagnose refresh, performance, data, and visualization issues.
  • Support sustainment and future dashboard enhancements.
Location and Work Expectations:
  • Ability to work remotely during normal Government working hours and participate in daily status, requirements, development, and technical-review sessions.
  • Ability to travel to Fort Lee, Virginia, at least three times annually and report onsite more frequently if directed.
