Position Summary
The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago seeks a full-time postdoctoral research associate for a study called "Physical Activity Timing in Relation to Glycemic Control for Night Workers Versus Day Workers." This position is offered under the supervision of Dr. Paul Hibbing. The postdoctoral research associate will be trained in continuous monitoring of physical activity and interstitial glucose, including data science innovations to bring the two practices more closely together.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Study coordination, including logistics (scheduling, purchasing, inventory, etc.), recruitment, enrollment, data collection, and data management.
  • Optimizing the study protocol and internal procedures.
  • Overseeing compliance and regulatory documentation.
  • Monitoring participants throughout the remotely-delivered, observational protocol.
  • Reporting on study progress at regular intervals.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    Doctoral degree in kinesiology, health behavior/promotion, or related field

    Minimum of one year of relevant research experience
