Shift: 8-hour days from 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday (no weekends/no on-call)

The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Office is a multi-disciplinary clinic that supports a diverse patient population that includes: burns, infectious diseases, physical medicine and rehab, and patients in our post-acute Covid treatment program (PACT). The clinic also has a minor procedure room. Along with another RN and 2 CMA's, the team provides care coordination, patient education, problem-solving during the patient experience.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA maintains an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies, assists in the organization of efficient patient flow, and organizes the clinic environment to assure patient safety. The CMA participates in medication and procedure education for patients and their families by providing brochures and literature and may administer meds as ordered by provider. The CMA records care provided in patient medical record.

Education:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required


Licensure/Certification:



  • Completion of CMA certification with the credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA or CMAA required prior to hire
  • Valid BLS CPR certification required upon hire; JHH accepts AHA, Red Cross, and military training network


Work Experience:



  • Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CMA experience.
  • MA program externship for new medical assisants

Salary Range: Minimum 19.25/hour - Maximum 31.80/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
