Overview
Leads and oversees the Continuing Education Department's programs, ensuring full compliance with all tiered levels of accreditation and regulatory requirements. Demonstrates strong leadership by proactively identifying, evaluating, and implementing innovative strategies and processes to deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare through comprehensive continuing education initiatives. Ensures that educational activities adhere to Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) standards, fostering an integrated planning process that includes healthcare professionals from multiple disciplines. Upholds joint accreditation standards by promoting interprofessional collaboration, enhancing team-based care, and achieving measurable outcomes that reflect improvements in skills, strategy, and performance of the healthcare team. Aligns with Carle Health's mission to empower health professionals and improve patient care, and its vision to provide highly accessible, world-class care and service. Engages in strategic planning to align continuing education programs with the health system's goals and objectives, and makes informed budget decisions to ensure the cost-effective delivery of educational initiatives. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, department heads, and external partners. Establishes and nurtures partnerships with vendors to enhance the quality and reach of continuing education programs. Oversees certification, accreditation, and audit procedures, ensuring compliance with local and state laws and industry regulations. Leads and oversees the work of continuing education specialists, providing guidance and support. Engages in strategic planning to align continuing education programs with the health system's goals. Develops and implements long-term plans to enhance educational offerings. Develops budget recommendations and monitors budget activities to ensure cost-effective program delivery. Makes informed budget decisions to support the department's financial health. Manages the Carle continuing education online platform, CMETracker, to monitor registration fees, document revenue and expenses, and track learner accounts. Leads training, mentorship, and leadership to interdisciplinary team members on continuing education processes and technological platforms. Conducts debrief meetings and individual counseling sessions as needed. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, department heads, and external partners. Establishes and nurtures partnerships with vendors. Collaborates with marketing to develop strategies for advertising educational events to target audiences. Facilitates and maintains accreditation requirements for continuing education programming. Manages relationships through Joint Providership agreements and maintains all continuing education certificate records for seven years. Maintains enduring continuing education content in the learning management system and On-Demand on CMETracker, monitoring completion reports and issuing learner certificates. Leads clinical content review, ensures inclusivity, and mitigates conflicts of interest in continuing education activities. Plans and coordinates interdisciplinary education programs and events to meet the training needs of healthcare professionals across the organization and region. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $35.14per hour - $60.44per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
