A postdoctoral position is available in the Albert Laboratory at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. The lab investigates how genetic differences between individuals influence gene expression, cell biology and complex traits in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Typical projects combine wet-lab experimental genomics with statistical genetics & computational biology, using yeast as our main model system. The postdoctoral scholar will have considerable freedom to pursue their research goals, assuming they broadly fit with the interests of the group. Our lab is supported by generous and flexible funding from the NIH, giving us the ability to freely conduct curiosity-driven research. Opportunities also exist to join ongoing projects.
