We are seeking a full-time Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of our Kaplan Joint Center located at 2014 Washington Street in Newton, MA. The Joint Center is a high-volume ambulatory practice that provides comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical care for patients with joint pain. Our expert orthopedic surgeons specialize in joint reconstruction and replacement, helping patients achieve improved mobility, reduced pain, and an improved quality of life. There are 12 staff members total (both clinical and non-clinical roles), as well as 10 providers (Surgeons and APPs).
We aim for a patientcentered environment while ensuring consistent, efficient operations. In partnership with the Program Director, the Manager will be responsible for all aspects of site operations, oversight of budgets, quality measures and will work collaboratively with administrative, clinical, and leadership teams to achieve operational and clinical care goals. In addition to leading day-to-day operations, the Practice Manager will play a key role in driving strategic growth initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, supporting provider recruitment and retention, improving patient access, and identifying opportunities to grow services and patient volume.
Our practice is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, and the Practice Manager is expected to maintain a consistent onsite presence to support day-to-day operations, staff engagement, and an exceptional patient experience.
Summary
Responsible for single-site practice or smaller multi-site practices (3 or more locations). Provides direct supervision of administrative and clinical support staff, and operational duties and functions. As a member of the leadership team, provides administrative cross coverage to manage staffing and/or operational issues.

Essential Functions
-Oversees the day-to-day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manages staff schedules.
-Evaluates daily staffing needs and coordinates replacement of staff.
-Performs hiring, orientation, and evaluation of staff. Administers corrective action if appropriate.
-Assists in the career development of practice employees through ongoing coaching, counseling, and training.
-Ensures that all mandatory training is completed by staff and that HIPAA policies and procedures are adhered to by staff.
-Evaluates, develops, and implements administrative systems and procedures designed to maximize practice operations. Regularly evaluates and analyzes practice performance metrics to ensure optimal outcomes.
-Collaborates with practice leaders on the preparation of the practice's annual budgets.
-Oversees the department's payroll, including the resolution of payroll issues. Monitors patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures.

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
