Responsibilities
Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. Our mission is simple: to enrich lives of at-risk youth and their families by delivering quality behavioral and educational services while fostering a safe transition to the community. Much more available online at: www.alabamaclinicalschools.com Intake Coordinator/Marketing: Responsible for the patient intake process; implementing, monitoring, and evaluating that process. Responsible for all patient intake calls; providing information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professional staff (i.e., physicians, consulting professionals) requesting information regarding potential admissions, developing and/or maintaining relationships with ongoing sources of referral to alternate treatment sources when appropriate. Maintains data to report accurately to the QMC committee. Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical area, such as counseling, social work from an accredited school and at least five years exp.in the mental health field. 3 years clinical experience in psychiatric setting; situational evaluation and crisis intervention experience required. Licensed in field (ex: LCSW, LPC) preferable. not required. A thorough knowledge of emotional disturbances, DSM-V-R diagnosis and the ability to quickly assess residents for their risk to themselves and others. Successfully pass background screen (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug testing. | |
