Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Nurse, Fink Pediatrics, Hem/Onc.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for carrying out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on decision-making related to the steps in the nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides competent, safe and compassionate care based on established NYU Langone Health Patient Care and Nursing Standards. As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, formulates the initial plan of care with the provider (physicians or nurse practitioner) and collaborates with them to implement a comprehensive patient centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.

Job Description:

This is a 5 day a week Mon thru Fri starting time either 8 -4pm or 9am -5pm with daily huddle presences at 9am. This office practice nurse will partner and offload the 3-5 NPs at Stephen D Hassenfeld Center.

The tasks are but not limited to :

My chart messages, in basket messages, hold the urgent call phone to take down parent or patient info to get the NP assigned or the NP of the day, call patients or parents with normal lab results,

Create medication calendars , teach education , administer vaccines, do QI projects, and be the point person for our CLABSI prevention initiatives such as Gus Gear and SDH take home bags.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required; two years of pediatric nursing experience required. Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association..

Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS, Basic Life Support Cert

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
