For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Senior Software Engineer. Core Knowledge & Skills: Works across multiple languages and platforms, designs and implements architectural decisions, applies design patterns, cloud-native services, IAAS/PAAS/SAAS basics, and secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10). Work & Complexity: Performs complex tasks under limited guidance, integrates and troubleshoots distributed or cloud services, and optimizes performance and scalability. Quality & Independence: Sets a high bar for code quality, multitasks effectively, owns and corrects errors quickly, and drives continuous improvement. Teamwork & Communication: Leads code reviews, mentors teammates, and translates technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Consulting & Engagement: Works directly with clients without oversight, writes technical RFP content when needed, nurtures client relationships, and manages routine client concerns. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Sr Power Platform Engineer. AIS is seeking a S enior Power Platform developer who will support our federal client designing, building, and supporting enterprise-scale applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, and related Microsoft technologies. The position combines hands-on development with technical leadership, requiring expertise in solution architecture, integrations, governance, DevOps, and stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable, secure, and user-focused business solutions. The successful candidate will also drive platform best practices, mentor teams, and help shape the organization's Power Platform strategy. This position is on-site/hybrid and does require an active Top Secret security clearance. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain advanced solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI Lead architectural design sessions and translate business requirements into scalable, well-structured Power Platform solutions Implement robust data models, relationships, and business rule using Dataverse and other connected data sources Build custom connectors, integrate external systems, and optimize API-based integrations across the M365 and Azure ecosystems. Develop and deploy Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls and other extensibility components using JavaScript/TypeScript. Establish and enforce Power Platform governance, including environment strategy, ALM processes, and security best practices. Manage solution lifecycle through source control, DevOps pipelines, and automated deployment processes. Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions. Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and technical discussions with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business analysts to refine requirements and shape platform strategy. Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and solution diagrams. Required For This Opportunity ActiveTop Secret required with ability to obtain SCI and 5-8 years experience (expert-level) building solutions using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), and Power Automate . 1+ year of experience with Power BI and SharePoint Bachelor's Degree (additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the Degree) Strong proficiency with Dataverse, data modeling, and relational data structures Experience developing Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls Experience in creating and consuming custom connectors and integrating external systems Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue, and Node.js Experience with developing, packaging, and deploying C# plugins for extending business logic in Power Apps applications Solid understanding of solution layering, ALM, and managed/unmanaged solution strategies Experience implementing role-based security, environment strategies, and governance best practices Experience integrating Power Platform with Azure services (e.g. Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Key Vault) Ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade Power Platform architectures Ability to evaluate business requirements, perform gap analyses, and propose modern solution architectures Experience with DevOps pipelines, Git-based deployments, and automated solution deployment strategies Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces that enhance user experience Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide insights and data visualization Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-200, PL-400) Experience Dynamics 365, and Azure services Experience with version control systems such as Git At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
