Goal 1: Strengthen the resident's expertise in management pediatric vision problems and common ocular disease. Goal 2: Enhance the resident's examination skills in pediatric patients. Goal 3: Develop the resident's appreciation for scholarly activity. By the conclusion of the residency program, the resident will have completed the necessary requirements for Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry, should they wish to pursue it. Qualifications
Minimum Required Education: Graduated from an ACOE (American Council on Optometric Accreditation) accredited school or college of optometry; 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale; passed all parts of NBEO (National Board of Examiners in Optometry), including TMOD (Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease); Wisconsin optometry license within 1-year of hire. Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously. Work EnvironmentOccasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Sensory Acuity
