Application Window Open date: July 7, 2026 Next review date: Thursday, Aug 6, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Aug 6, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Visual and Performing Arts Education Program (VAPAE) in the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture offers an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental series of courses designed to introduce undergraduates to the key issues and methodologies in the field of arts education for multiple publics and to a broad range of possible career paths including teaching artistry, K-12 teaching, museum education, socially-engaged arts practice, creative arts therapies, and arts advocacy. VAPAE is committed to creating a diverse pool of candidates for potential part-time teaching positions during each academic year. VAPAE is now interested in meeting qualified candidates to teach its Arts Ed 101 - Selected Topics in Arts Education elective course. Applicants may submit course proposals and accompanying syllabi that support any of the below concentrations: Concentration 1: Strategies and Methods in Teaching the Arts Concentration 2: Arts in the Community Concentration 3: Teaching the Arts in Non-traditional Settings and with Special Populations Concentration 4: Social-Emotional Learning in the Arts Concentration 5: Interdisciplinary Arts Teaching Applicants may submit letters of intent, course proposals and/ or accompanying syllabi that pertain to and/or support the themes and topics as described above. Minimum Qualifications: MA required, MFA or PhD preferred; relevant professional experience Annual Salary Range $70,977-$199,722. Appointments contingent on availability of funding.
