THE ROLE : AMD is seeking a Senior Manager of Media Relations to drive proactive storytelling in the Global Communications team. This person will identify the agenda setting stories that need to be told, map them to the right reporters and influencers, and manage the work to land them. Part of this role will include building and deepening relationships with reporters and influencers and collaborating across the Global comms team to educate and influence these people . This person will own proactive engagement, ensuring that AMD's differentiated narrative is widely and accurately understood, that the company is well positioned versus competitors, and volume of coverage increases outside of company moments. THE PERSON : The ideal candidate is a sharp storyteller and relationship-builder who thrives at the intersection of deep technology and compelling narrative, and who can position AMD as the preeminent leader in the semiconductor industry. They must also be a strong team player, able to work across the global comms team and navigate strong existing relationships, and with teams across the business including technical, financial, and customer focused.
