As the Fabrication Shop Operations Leader , you will lead the setup and ongoing operations of a fabrication facility in Dallas, driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing performance. In this senior operations role, you will align production output with customer needs and company objectives while building and leading high-performing teams.

What You Will Do

  • Establish and manage capital and operational budgets for the facility
  • Ensure facility readiness, optimize equipment utilization, and minimize downtime
  • Hire, train, and lead fabricators and assemblers
  • Plan workforce headcount based on workload demands
  • Motivate teams to drive productivity, engagement, and performance
  • Manage both union and non-union teams and maintain strong labor relations with UA Local 100
  • Establish production protocols and procedures
  • Set, track, and improve KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and cost
  • Procure and manage shop consumables, tools, and supplies to support uninterrupted production
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely, cost-effective delivery
  • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations and promote a zero-incident safety culture
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and provide updates to leadership on performance and issues

Position Details

  • Onsite: Dallas, TX Fabrication shop
  • Travel: Up to 10%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering OR 10+ years of relevant manufacturing/operations experience
  • Proven ability to lead teams in safety and production environments
  • Experience managing complex operations and workforce dynamics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, manufacturing operations, and process improvement
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical/structural drawings, and isometric drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex, non-standard scenarios
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

The pay range for this role is $110,000-$120,000 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
