Seeking Patient Navigator positionsupporting the Head/Neck/Thoracic Medical Oncology Team, which specializes in caring for patients with diagnoses including lung cancer, mesothelioma, esophageal cancer, thyroid and salivary gland tumors, adrenocortical carcinomas, peripheral nerve sheath tumors, cutaneous malignancies, and sarcomas.

This role will begin with developing a strong understanding and confidence in the RN triage function, with the expectation that the nurse will progressively expand into patient navigation responsibilities as they grow within the practice. The ideal candidate will have three or more years of oncology experienceand demonstrate foundational leadership abilities that can be applied in this setting. This individual will serve as a change champion, supporting team initiatives and contributing meaningful value to the ongoing growth, development, and forward progression of the practice.

This position will be located at 265 Western Ave in South Portland until April 17th, 2026 and will transition to our new location at 100 Campus Suite 108 in Scarborough on April 20th , 2026. This may be irrelevant if start date is after 4/20/26.

Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Patient Navigator - MHMG MMCP role guides patients through the care continuum, establishing contact with recurrent and newly diagnosed cancer patients and/or family members, or caregivers. The Patient Navigator will understand the clinical pathways established by the Oncology Program and will direct the patients to health care services within the organization, at outside facilities, and within the community for timely diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or must complete BSN within three years of start date.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Oncology certification or defined process for achieving certification required.
  3. Experience: Experience working with oncology patients and families preferred. Experience in community outreach preferred.

The pay range for this position is $83,324.80to $112,736.00per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
