Salary range:
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Internal Medicine-Rheumatology (MD) ranging from $306,600- 315,000. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: July 1, 2026 Next review date: Friday, Jul 31, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Jun 30, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine is seeking candidates for faculty positions in the Health Sciences Clinical series at the level of Assistant Professor or above. The candidate will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service. The candidate will provide ambulatory care and inpatient consult service at UCI Health locations throughout Orange County, California. Minimum requirements include an MD, DO or equivalent degree, board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, and eligibility to obtain an active medical practice license in the State of California. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A generous package of retirement benefits is included when employed by the University of California.
